2005 VILLA GIULIA LANGHE BIANCO DOC



Type of wine: Dry white wine.
Position of the vineyards: Situated in the Commune of Treiso and Barbaresco, with South, North and West facing exposure. Altitude varing from 250 to 330 m a.s.l.
Grape variety: Chardonnay 60% and Sauvignon 40%
Vinification: Distemming and pressing of grapes followed by a cold settling of the must at a low temperature, fermented and temperature controlled in stainless steel tanks. Refining “sur lies” and sterile bottling.
To be drunk with: Great as an aperitif, it goes perfectly with any kind of seafood and it is an ideal companion to fresh Spring and Summer salads. Drink at 9/10° C.


TECHNICAL DATA FOR THE 2005 VINTAGE:

Alcohol: 13,5 % alc./vol.
Total acidity: 5,00 g/l in tartaric acid.
Residual sugar: dry.
Ageing: The wine matures on lees for five months. Refining in bottle after sterile bottling for at least three months before being released for sale.
Estimated life: Four/five years.
Tasting notes:
  • Colour: Brillant straw yellow, with green tinges.
  • Bouquet: Intense aromas with sweet notes reminescent of acacia flowers and also green spring vegetable sensations.
  • Taste: persistent, harmonious, flavoursome, with an aftertaste which reminds us of sensations found in the bouquet.
