2006 DOCG LA SERRA MOSCATO D'ASTI



Type of wine: Dessert wine.
Position of the vineyards: In the Cassine village, Alessandria Province.
Grape variety: Moscato 100% .
Vinification: Bunch pressed in a pneumatic press followed by a cold settling of the must achieved in stainless steel tanks, then maintainance of the must at a low temperature until its transfer into autoclaves for its fermentation and successive bottling.
To be drunk with: Ideal wine to be drunk together with fresh fruits and cakes.

TECHNICAL DATA FOR THE 2006 VINTAGE:
Alcohol: 5,50 % alc./vol.
Total acidity: 5,50 g/l in tartaric acid.
Residual sugar: 130 g/l.
Estimated life: Two years.
Tasting notes:
  • Colour: Straw yellow with greenish reflections.
  • Bouquet: Intense, fresh and fruity, with notes of peach and sage.
  • Taste: Very harmonious, the acidity matches very well with the sugar and gives a wine of pleasant drinkability.
