2005 LANGHE DOC CHARDONNAY



Type of wine: Dry white wine.
Position of the vineyards: Situated in the Commune of Treiso, North/North West facing exposure, at 300m. a.s.l.
Grape variety: Chardonnay 100%.
Vinification: Distemming and pressing of grapes followed by a cold settling of the must at a low temperature, fermented and temperature controlled in stainless steel tanks. Refining on lees.
To be drunk with: An ideal aperitif wine that because of its good structure and complexity makes of it a perfect companion to seafood starters. Drink at 9/10° C.

TECHNICAL DATA FOR THE 2005 VINTAGE:
Alcohol: 13% alc./vol.
Total acidity: 5,00 g/l in tartaric acid.
Residual sugar: dry.
Ageing: Refining on lees for 5 months. Sterile bottling. Aged in bottle for three months before being released for sale.
Estimated life: Three/five years.
Tasting notes:
  • Colour: Bright straw yellow, with light green tinges.
  • Bouquet: Intense aromas with sweet notes, reminiscent of tropical fruits (banana over all) and honey.
  • Taste: Flavoursome, persistent, harmonious, with a lingering aftertaste which reminds us of sensations found in the bouquet.
